About the Association
The Horn Lake Property Owners' Association (HLPOA) acts as a voice for property owners on Horn Lake and advocates for their concerns including development on our lake, water quality, property taxes and lake spirit.
While we all enjoy the benefits of living and cottaging, there is no certainty that the pristine environment we currently benefit from will continue to exist in the future.
The continued work of the HLPOA requires the support of all property owners on the lake.
Your annual dues help the Association by providing the following:
Fire Safety and Prevention
The cost of maintenance/replacement of the fire huts and the fire equipment inside them located on the lake.
The purchase, installation, and maintenance of lake marker buoys.
Currently, one marker in the channel west of Birch Crest, more to come in 2020. If you have suggestions, please contact us.
The upkeep of this website. We ensure it is updated frequently and secure from cyber-attacks.
Discounts through our FOCA membership on brands like Coleman, Cottage Life, Dock-in-a-box, Cottage First Insurance, plus much more.
If you are a member of the HLPOA, email us for the code you will need to receive the discounts.
Attending and working with local government, both in the Municipality of Magnetawan and Ryerson Township.
Since the Association is an incorporated company, we need liability insurance.
We started with a Fire Prevention seminar in 2019 and plan to launch a Lunch & Learn Program in 2022 where we'll host guest speakers at the lake.
Environmental Scientists, fire prevention, and general equipment maintenance are on the agenda.
