Launching Your Boat On Horn Lake

There are three options for launching your boat on Horn Lake.
Please note that parking is only available at one and it is limited, especially on long weekends during the summer.

South Horn Lake Road

A municipal boat ramp that is free to use but has no parking whatsoever. This ramp is designed as a "launch-and-go."
Please be mindful that there are cottage properties on either side of the ramp and their private driveways are only accessible from the launch road.

North Horn Lake Road
A municipal boat ramp that is free to use but has limited parking, especially on long weekends. There is a top parking lot that is designated for trailers, but also used for vehicle overflow when busy. Please detach your trailer from your vehicle, leaving your trailer in the upper lot and parking your vehicle in the lower lot.
Please be mindful that there are several cottage  properties adjacent to the ramp, so be respectful of their privacy.
There are two docks that are funded by the municipality of Magnetawan and maintained by the cottagers on the lake.
There is a large boulder that sits just under the surface, about 10 meters out from the shore, slightly to the right of the ramp. During the summer is it marked with a white buoy and you can easily see the boulder from the dock.
The approach to the south is shallow and you need to pay attention when docking to the starboard side of the southern dock.
